Why Pledge?

You might be wondering, “If I’m already giving or plan to give to Perimeter, why should I make a pledge?”

  • A pledge is more than a number on a card—it’s a prayerful expression of faith.
  • Writing down what you intend to give over the next three years helps our church move forward with clarity and confidence.
  • Pledges allow our leaders to plan wisely, knowing what resources will be available to fund ministry, care for our campus, and pursue new opportunities for impact.
  • Your pledge is not an obligation—no one will follow up—but it’s an important spiritual exercise that invites God to guide your generosity and stretch your faith.

We invite you to prayerfully consider what God may be leading you (or your family) to pledge as we venture into this next chapter for Perimeter.

How to Pledge

As you think about your giving to the Frontier campaign, here are some helpful steps to guide you.

A pledge represents the total of what you expect to give over the three years of this campaign (January 2026-December 2028). It includes your regular monthly giving as well as any special contributions such as year-end gifts.

1. Pray

Whether you are making a gift for the very first time, or considering how God might be leading you to grow in your giving, set aside intentional time to ask God for His wisdom and guidance.

2. Consider

The worksheet below is a tool to determine what your giving could be for the next three years.

If married, discuss it with your spouse. This is a great time to evaluate your finances and consider opportunities to introduce or even increase your generosity.

3. Pledge

Write your three-year total pledge on the pledge card located in the Frontier booklet.

Bring your pledge card on Pledge Sunday, November 16. Together we’ll submit our pledges and venture into the frontier together. You can also pledge online anytime beginning November 2.

Frequently Asked Questions

I give to other nonprofits and charities, so why do I need to give to my church?

We’re grateful for generosity to nonprofits—many of which we also partner with. But, giving to the church is different. Scripture teaches our first gift, our first fruits (Proverbs 3:9), belongs to God and is entrusted to His church. When we give here, it’s not just supporting good work—it’s an act of worship. We’re investing in the family that disciples us, cares for one another, and multiplies God’s mission locally and globally. Nonprofits do good things, but the Church carries the whole mission of God’s kingdom.

What is a tithe?

A tithe is biblically defined as giving one-tenth of one’s income back to God (Leviticus 27:30). While not mandated under the New Covenant, we believe it remains a wise and historic guide—a meaningful target to grow toward, or even a starting point for cultivating joyful, generous giving.

Is there a difference between the tithe and an offering?

Historically, an offering is a financial gift in addition to the amount of your tithe. These are often made in the context of charitable donations to fundraisers, year-end gifts, or other opportunities as God leads you to give.

Are there other ways I can make a financial contribution to Frontier?

Yes. You can donate stocks, property, savings, cryptocurrency, or other financial assets. Contact our Contributions team to learn more.

How are my tithes and offerings used?

At Perimeter, every part of our ministry-from Sunday services to outreach across the globe-is funded through a single fund. When you give to Perimeter Church, you’re not choosing between different buckets. You’re giving toward one shared vision.

These funds have generally been applied in the following broad categories:*

  • Families (41%)
  • Outreach (29%)
  • Care and Community (19%)
  • Operations (11%)

*These percentages are based on our audited financial statements for 2023 and 2024. We undergo an annual independent audit to ensure accountability and trustworthiness.
