On Saturday, December 2, 2023, Gary Michael Lafferty passed away at the age of 73. The world lost a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Gary leaves a legacy of love and laughter.

Above all, Gary loved his family. He leaves behind his wife, Kathy; children, Cary and Brad Lewis and Kristy and Scott White; grandchildren Will, Channing, Collin, and Janie Lewis, and Jack, Kylie, and Karsyn White. He is survived by his siblings Pat Lafferty, Dan Lafferty, Kathy Lafferty, and Mike Lafferty. He is preceded in death by his parents John Timothy Lafferty and Sheila Esther Wallentin Lafferty. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Gary was from Overland Park, Kansas, where he attended Shawnee Mission East High School, and was awarded two football letters and All State. He also attended Kansas State University, where he met Kathy. He enjoyed playing football, swimming, tennis, and being a soccer coach.

Gary enjoyed his career in consumer electronics, where he made an impact in various positions at K-Mart, The Stewart Company, Zenith, and Philips Electronics. He always said that he "never worked a day in his life," because he loved his job. He made many friendships and mentored a countless number of coworkers. He was well respected and loved by so many.
