We are so excited to introduce a new element to our membership class weekends, a children’s membership class that is aimed to help prepare your child to take communion (and be baptized if not baptized as an infant). This class, for children and younger teens interested in faith in Christ, able to articulate faith in Christ, and examine themselves before taking the Table, will help answer three questions: 1. What is the Gospel?, 2. What is the Church?, and 3. Why membership? This is a one day event on the Saturday morning of the membership class weekend, from 8:30 AM to Noon (continental breakfast provided).
Our recommendation is that older teens who are ready to become communing, adult members of Perimeter Church opt for the full adult membership class. This child membership class is for children and younger teens that were baptized as infants, have expressed interest in the Lord’s Supper and would be capable of examining their own hearts before taking the Table. Typically, we have found that children 10 and older have been more consistent with showing this ability. We want to help you become a communing, child member of Perimeter Church. If you were not baptized as an infant, we want to answer your questions about baptism as well!
