Dear friends and family, 21 January 2017

I am thrilled to be headed back to Guatemala, to join Dr. Alb and his team with Medical Missions Ministries, for a week-long “date with Jesus.”  This year REBECCA (my oldest child and only daughter) will be joining me for her first ever mission trip this July!!!!! (can you tell I’m excited?) As part of a team from Perimeter Church, we will assist Dr. Alb’s team in setting up medical clinics in rural Guatemala.  In America, I have never met anyone who had never heard the name of Jesus.  In Guatemala, we have had the honor of introducing people to Jesus who have never heard His name.  When I’ve had the opportunity before to work with Dr Alb, one of my favorite parts has been serving alongside the young people that come with us on the trip- they willingly serve with palpable excitement, praying and boldly sharing their faith.  My hope and prayer is that my children will be similarly impacted and that they too will see God’s hands at work. I pray that my children will understand that the Gospel is for today and that we are to GO and do His work.

I ask that you join us in this Journey.  First, that you join us in prayer: pray for the hearts of the people we will be in contact with; pray that God would equip me and the team for the work which He has prepared in advance in Guatemala; pray that the people would have ears to hear the Word of the Lord.  Our team may physically “GO” to Guatemala, but for us to accomplish the work, we must have prayer support covering the team, from start to finish.  

Second, I ask that you support our Journey financially.  Rebecca and I will be going together to Guatemala in July. I will be leading the trip with my good friend Deb Danials, July 22-29th.  Rebecca and I will be raising $3,500 to cover all the expenses of our mission trip this year.  Please consider joining the team in this way.  Perimeter Church, who is training and sending the team, requests that this be above your regular tithe and offerings to your local church.  If we raise more than 100% as a team, the additional funds will be allocated to other individuals on this trip.   We are asking for donations to be made on-line by following this link:

Hi, I’m Rebecca and I’m going to be adventuring to Guatemala with my mother in July.  I have been wanting to go to Guatemala since I was 6 years old and have been practising my Spanish!! I am very interested in speaking to other cross-culture people and to spread the Word of God throughout all of the places that I visit in my life, and Guatemala is where my journey through sharing the gospel, is going to start.
