We are all home safe and sound. Thank you so much for your prayers and support! Everyone on the team worked together to accomplish the goals given to us: preschoolers learned some more about American culture and how to say some farm animals in English, a room was taken apart to provide better space for the Ukrainian preschoolers, and many meals were made for those who came for refuge, not to forget the mopping and cleaning . 

The church in Poland was an example to us of how to love your neighbor well. I left with a greater appreciation of what it means to love and care for others in need. 

Thank you again for providing this opportunity for the team to serve the Ukrainian refugees and our friends in Poland!

Greetings from Poland 

Yesterday was our last day with the preschoolers . They still remember the Tomahawk chomp and loved learning about baseball . We played baseball on the field near a school - even a parent joined in . The team joined in to help with herd ball . 

The Ukrainian preschoolers were in enthralled with the play dough we brought . Play dough was the magic .

We were sad to say good bye to our new found friends yesterday.Sweet cards from the preschoolers and hugs from friends in the kitchen . We were all treated to a delicious cake made by one of the refugees in gratitude to our team .

being a stranger in a strange land is no easy task - think about loosing everything - every comfort

We meet people everyday who have lost so much . Some need housing others food & clothing. It is so impressive how this church is meeting so many needs. 
We are teaching the Polish pre school students and the Ukrainian preschoolers. The first day we gave the Ukrainian children play dough - they were so engaged . We were told they probably had never played with play dough. Today , we introduced shaving cream for an activity - the students loved it ! The teachers were not impressed with the mess :) 

I am grateful our lessons have generally gone well - except of course when you are being filmed - the children have been accepting and delightful. 

We had a fun day today. It was our first day with the preschoolers. We had so much fun teaching the Polish children about baseball ( per the school\'s request ) and farm animals to the Ukrainian students and 3 year olds. 

Thank you all for your prayers ! Today we met at the church and began our time with our Polish partners. Some cooked and made coffee . Some helped print needed documents . 
I will be working with preschool teaching English starting Monday. Emily and had so much fun planning our lessons and thinking of fun activities . 
We also had the privilege of cleaning bathrooms. 
The needs are great . It is very humbling to see how the church has come along side the refugees to meet their needs. 

Grateful for safe travels and a committed group of people to serve with .
