Greetings Friends & Family,

I am writing to you, to invite you to partner with me in mission serving to Sports Across Ireland, a global ministry partner of Perimeter church, located in the Ballymum community of Dublin, Ireland.   Our team’s mission trip in Ballymum/Dublin is quickly approaching, as we will serve alongside local leaders at a SAI sports& arts camp on 27 October through 5 November.   I first felt the holy spirit nudge towards this ministry over a year ago, during a global spotlight service; but dismissed it with a “why me?, why Ireland?”  thought.   But the spirit nudge continued and grew stronger to investigate more about the Sports Across Ireland ministry; so I met with local team leaders Dennis & Linda Lee to learn more.  The purpose and mission of SAI touched my heart in deeply personal and experiential ways. I remembered it was a similar camp outreach to single parent families that brought me to the church I’ve called home for the past 24 years.  After months of prayer, I felt the call to commit to go.  Last month, we began training and I felt an affirming spirit as to how God can use my weakness & brokenness as a single parent; as well as the hope and peace that came as my faith dependence on God has grown and matured.  In recent years I’ve been living out my conviction to mentor & share my faith with children in my community, through serving as a Bible Study Fellowship Children’s Leader.

A snapshot of Ballymum: it is a community of Dublin, Ireland with an estimated population of 20,000 people.  These residents are 70% single parent families, 15% are disabled and 22% unemployed.  A quarter of this community are children under the age of 14.  The community struggles with high rates of alcoholism drug addiction and suicides.  It could easily be viewed as a depressed and despairing community, with children & families needing encouragement, affirmation of their value and a hope for their future.   We will be serving as coaches and co-leaders, alongside 16 local leaders, which includes 8 teen camp alumni; in a week long sports& arts camp.  The camp’s mission is to build faith, character and self-esteem in the children aged 5-14 attending camp.

Much prayer is needed, as well as financial support.  For this mission, my total support cost is $2,100; we each are individually responsible for raising our support.  If you would like to join me in this opportunity to bless and be blessed, enclosed is a response card.  To donate online, visit www.perimeter.org/global.  Choose this Ireland journey and my name from the drop down boxes.  DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE AND MUSTBE MADE PAYABLE TO PERIMETER CHURCH, who is training and sending the team, Perimeter Church requests that this be above your regular tithes and offerings to your local church.  If I raise more than 100%, the additional funds will be allocated to the team fund, and after that, be used at the discretion of the Global Outreach Ministry Team.

As God has called His people to go, to love, and to serve his people globally – it is a blessing to answer His call and invite you to serve alongside through prayer and support.

Abiding in Him,

Kimberly
