Greetings!

              I pray that this letter finds you and your family well. God willing Christian and I will be going on a medical missions trip this summer to Guatemala with a group from Perimeter Church. We pray God will give us this opportunity to go to Guatemala not only to serve the medical needs of the people there, but also to join him in the work he is doing to teach children in their schools. As a dad I am also excited to be able to share this journey with my son!

             On July 21st , We will be departing on a mission trip to the central highlands of Guatemala for 7 days. From 1960 to 1996, Guatemala was involved in a civil war. The purpose of this mission trip is to provide medical treatment to orphaned children, most of whom have never seen a doctor. We anticipate treating 450 to 500 children. Medical Missions Ministry and Mana de Vida Split teams look a lot alike. We just get to see a little different action for a couple of days of the week. With Medical Missions Ministry, the medical clinics are set up in churches in the villages of Guatemala and the pastors invite the neighboring communities to come for the free clinic. With Mana de Vida School, we serve the school in various ways, as they need us.

             We would love for you to partner with us through prayer - specifically for safe travel, a special connection with the chiildren of Guatemala in the schools and that we would be able to treat many people in the medical clinics who desperately need our assistance and most of all for sharing the love of Christ with those who don't know his love. 

             Were also asking for your financial support no matter how big or small the donation. Christian and I need to raise about $1,850 each ($3,700 total). If you would like to support us their is a response card enclosed or to donate online, visit https://www.perimeter.org/global choose "give to participant", under designations select Missions and the "Guatamala July 21st" and click on our names. Donations are tax-deductible and must be made payable to Perimeter Church, who is training and sending the team and who requests that this be above your regular tithe and offerings to your local church. If I raise more than 100%, the additional funds will be allocated to the team fund, and, after that, used at the discretion of the Global Outreach Ministry Team.
