Dear Friends and Family,

 

     I am very excited to share the news of an opportunity that my sister Tabitha and I will have the privilege to embark on! This summer we will both be serving on our first missions trip to Tanzania in eastern Africa from July 26th to August 4th. We will be traveling alongside a group of individuals from Perimeter Church and additionally a medical team from Moorehouse Medical School. With our team consisting of many backgrounds in science and medicine, our trip will have two primary missions or purposes:

 

     First, our team will be assisting the teachers in basic science topics at Siha Christian Leadership Academy in Tanzania. The teachers there teach grades 1st through 8th and we will help them solidify their teaching skills and deepen their knowledge in scientific concepts.

 

     Since we are traveling with a medical team, our second purpose is to aid the medical team who is providing health physicals to the children and students at several public schools in the area. Our part in this is to help the students to fill out medical forms before they are received for their checkups.

 

     Both of our missions supporting the school and medical team will require much time and energy, but the outcome will be rewarding. To achieve this, Tabitha and I will both need to raise $3,500 each to cover the expense of traveling and boarding; this will come to a total of $7,000. We ask that you will prayerfully consider supporting us on this literally life-changing experience. Any support you can provide is immensely appreciated.

 

     Lastly, we will need prayer. Considering this is our first missions trip we will be experiencing different cultures and being put in situations that will be new to us both. Here is a few prayer requests for the beginning of our adventure:

● That we reach our support goal before our deadline

● Unity within the team and leaders

● Plans and preparations go accordingly

● The gospel will be revealed many that we will encounter

 

Right now we are both super excited to serve and see what God has in store for us!
