Serve Your City: Fire and Police Thank You Cards - Basket

Join other kids to create thank you cards and pictures for our Suwanee and Sugar Hill Police and Fire & rescue teams. Help assemble snack baskets and then deliver them to either Fire Station 13 in Suwanee, Station 26 in Sugar Hill, or the Suwanee Police Department. Serve between 9:00-11:00 AM.

Do you love to create a sparkling, welcoming home? Help prepare a move-up home at the Hope of Hope Children’s Shelter. When a single mom and her kids reach their goals, they are allowed to move from the shelter to a single home on the campus site. Help clean up and prepare the home for the next family. Bonus points if you like to pressure wash. Serve between 9:00-11:00 AM.

Does the thought of a bounty of vegetables and fruits get you excited? Help to prepare the garden at Home of Hope Children’s Shelter for spring planting. The garden there is overgrown, and the ground needs to be prepared for the kids to plant and harvest food for their own kitchen come spring. Ages 18 and older. Do You Like To Cook Or Bake

Do you like to cook or bake? We are looking for members who would like to help us feed the children and moms at the Home of Hope Children’s Shelter. Our City Impact team has committed to bringing a homemade dinner based on a detailed menu the first Saturday of each month. Volunteer to bring a portion of the main meal, veggies, bread or dessert on a rotational basis. Sign up to be on the team by emailing isaacskathy@gmail.com. You can choose which months and which menu items you would like to bring. 
Write a Note to a Family in Need

North Gwinnett Co-op is collecting notes of encouragement for families who are struggling during the COVID-19 crisis. The notes will be included in boxes of emergency food that are distributed across our service area. North Gwinnett Co-Op Mobile Food Delivery

Get Involved with Our Schools

  • Volunteer to mentor a child once a week at a school near you.
  • Hygiene products are often last on the list when budgets are tight. Help keep the school's pantry full by holding a drive for these items. We'll supply a list of what's needed most and how to do a drive.
  • Write notes of encouragement to teachers.

With school back in session, Peachtree Ridge High School is in urgent need of the following items: Personal hygiene items: Shampoo, Bar Soap, Body wash, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Dental floss, and Mouthwash.  They also need Food Items: Canned fruits, Apple sauce or similar, Ramen noodles, Fruit snacks, and Granola bars.  Please deliver items to the school or text Cherie  Heringer at 678-467-1627 to arrange pick up or drop off.
