JUSTICE MINISTRY PRAYER GUIDE

The battle is the Lord's and we are His foot soldiers, called to take up the cross and follow Him. May we be always mindful that our vision, our wisdom, our strength, our purpose, our protection, even our very willingness to enter into ministry all come from Him. May God ignite a passion in the hearts of many to follow Him into the battle for justice and the eradication of human trafficking. May His name be praised!

We pray with authority, invading the territory the enemy has taken and calling on Jehovah Sabaoth, Lord of Hosts, Lord of Heaven's Armies -- to go before us in battle and claim the victory!  Regardless of the size of the battle, regardless how dark the spiritual atmosphere becomes, we will fight for God's Kingdom to come and establish its presence everywhere the enemy has claimed.

"Christ puts spiritual weapons into our hearts and hands ... to make war with enemies ... to conquer, not as the prince of the world ... with whips and prisons, tortures, and torments ... but with the Word of truth ... returning love for hatred, wrestling with God against enmity, with prayers and tears day and night, with fasting, mourning and lamentation, in patience, in faithfulness, in truth, in love unfeigned, in long suffering, and in all the fruits of the Spirit, that if by any means we may overcome evil with good."

James Nayler

Pray fervently that God will send increasing numbers of workers into the battle, that His Spirit will provide strength and perseverance and that the harvest will be plentiful and will bring praise and glory to His name!

We dare not be prayerless!

We pray Lord that you will hear us in heaven, come down in power and deliver the City of Atlanta from the works of the flesh and satan.  May your Spirit deliver our city from bondages, spiritual strongholds and addictions and establish your presence in our churches, neighborhoods and businesses.  Erase every vestige of child sex trafficking from the streets of Atlanta.

Let us persevere in prayer against injustice, standing on the promises of God, the intercession of Christ and the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

"Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; Seek justice, correct oppression; Bring justice to the fatherless, seek the widow's cause."

Isaiah 1:16-17

Let's unleash the most powerful fighter, defender of the oppressed, champion of good and enemy of evil. Let's join together to pray to God daily for the abolition of modern-day slavery.

Mike Darling has found a way to connect us all in a concert of prayer in a very unique way.

"We are asking that individuals make a commitment to pray one hour per week or more over the issue of Human Trafficking. Please visit slavelaborproject.clickbook.net and sign up for a prayer time and then once you have set the example, send this link out to all those believers with whom you have influence. We are just getting the prayer project off the ground, so almost all of the slots are going to be available to fill, people should have no problem finding a time that works for them."

  • IMMEDIATE PRAYER REQUESTS AND PRAISES

    • Pray for wisdom and courage for law enforcement, judges, and Legislators as they deal directly with demand.

    • Pray that every under aged boy or girl advertised for sale on Backpage or any social media would result in arrest and conviction for the perpetrators and rescue for the victims.

    • Pray for more rehabilitation and restoration beds to be added across the state.

    • Thank God for the increasing number of men who have stepped up to be part of the Perimeter Justice Team men's initiative. May God grant them wisdom, favor and direction. Praise God for the Georgia's Not Buying It program, developed by AG Sam Olens, that is being taught to metro Atlanta law enforcement agencies to help them recognize and aggressively battle DMST. Pray that this training spreads throughout our state.

    • Pray for those on the front lines who are battling DMST - the GBI led by Director Vernon Keenan, the FBI, the Dekalb Co SVU led by Sgt Kennedy, other state and county law enforcement agencies along with judges and prosecutor - pray for strength, courage and favor in their work to see victims rescued and justice served, for wisdom and integrity as they deal with victims and perpetrators, for physical, emotional and spiritual protection and well-being for them and their families, for funding and unity in their efforts.

    • Please pray for wisdom, power, and great favor on City of Refuge as they expand their battle against sex trafficking locally and globally. Pray for the team that is leading the effort and grant them the wisdom of Solomon as they make decisions on moving forward. Surround them and their families with the protection of your armor and hide them under the shelter of God's mighty wings.

    • Arrest of perpetrators for sex trafficking often results in low bails by jail judges and easy bonding out of jail. Pray that judges will become educated about DMST, for mandatory no-bond for sex trafficking and for strengthening of statute 16-6-11.

    • Thank God for Sgt. Kennedy and the Dekalb Co SVU. Their work is difficult and dangerous and they are in need of prayer covering. Pray the following:
      - For strength, encouragement and favor in their work, that every week would see victims rescued and perpetrators arrested
      - For protection and well-being for physical, emotional and spiritual health for the officers and their families
      - For wisdom and integrity as they deal with victims and perpetrators
      - For funds available to send officers to the Internet Crimes Against Children conference in Dallas TX
      - The Internet is responsible for an increase in boys trafficked and an increase in the number of victims from affluent 2-parent homes.

    • Praise and thank God for PSC Commissioner Tim Echols and his heart to battle DMST as he organized the 3rd Unholy Tour through areas of Atlanta where trafficking occurs. The tour included members from the media, law enforcement, General Assembly and non-profits. The 1st tour saw the rescue of 2 victims.

    • Praise for 13 arrested in Johns Creek for pimping, pandering children and prostitution--pray that Johns Creek will remain diligent and successful in battling this evil!

    • Praise to God who answered in abundance the request that God's people would overwhelm Operation Liberate by providing them with freedom bags for rescued girls. More than 250 bags were stocked with supplies and given to OL--hallelujah!
Pray also for Holy Spirit power on the OL evangelism teams in Gwinnett and Cobb counties as they share the Gospel door to door. Pray that every outreach will yield a harvest of souls.

    • Praise God that Georgia's Attorney General, Sam Olens, is deeply committed to the battle against sex trafficking and has appointed a new prosecutor, Camila Wright, who will have the authority to prosecute human trafficking throughout the entire state and assist jurisdictions as they work these complex cases.  Pray for God's blessing and favor on their work.

    • Invite God's power and presence into the city of Atlanta, uniting inner city churches, destroying strongholds, freeing captives, and bringing revival and transformation!

    • Pray for God's supernatural protection over the staff, their families and the clients of City of Refuge, Jars of Clay, Wellspring and the ELA, Operation Liberate, Promise 686, Street Grace and other community partners as they minister to the vulnerable and oppressed in our city. Pray the promises of Psalm 91, that "God will cover you with His pinions and under His wings you will find refuge ... because you have made the Lord your dwelling place, the Most High, who is my refuge, no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways."

    • Pray for His favor and power to be revealed as we come before Him humbly with prayers of praise and thanksgiving for what He has done and is doing to destroy the powers of darkness and injustice and with prayers of intercession for what He will do to bring rescue, restoration and justice.

    • Pray for Promise 686 and their role in fostering and adoption of at-risk children - that children will have stable, loving homes to be placed in so that they will not end up on the streets.

    • Pray for a spirit of unity between all the different organizations that are battling CSEC, faith-based and secular, that the evil one would not cause ineffectiveness in the fight because of pride or disunity.

    • Praise God for the bold action taken by the John's Creek City Council as they investigate and take action against businesses that are suspected in sex trafficking. Pray that other cities will follow their lead in investigating, fining and closing businesses suspected in prostitution and trafficking.

    • Pray for collaboration with the Department of Education - that trained speakers will be sent into every school in Georgia to discuss CSEC with teachers, staff and parents, to identify and protect at-risk children and to develop curriculum.
