Forward in Faith | Summer 2025
Perimeter is a kingdom-minded church. From the beginning, our desire has been to plant churches, pursue the flourishing of our cities, and actively engage in global missions. Over the years, Perimeter has developed deep, lasting partnerships with like-minded ministries, united in our commitment to the gospel and the advancement of God’s kingdom on earth.
Earlier this year, we hosted a special gathering for all of our Community Outreach nonprofit partners. These gospel-centered organizations serve throughout Greater Atlanta in the key areas of education, poverty, family, and justice. The event created an opportunity for leaders to connect, build meaningful relationships, and discover resources to support and strengthen their work.
Chip Sweney, Perimeter’s executive director of Greater Atlanta Transformation, shared from 1 Corinthians 12:12–14, emphasizing our continued desire to deepen relationships, learn from one another, and collaborate more fully for the sake of the kingdom.
He challenged the group to consider the impact of truly connected relationships in our cities: “What if we all thought beyond our own church or ministry and saw ourselves as one part of the larger body of Christ?”
Chip reminded us, “The kingdom is much bigger than any one church or nonprofit. We need each other, not just to be more effective, but to love, support, and pray for one another. That’s when we lift our eyes beyond ourselves and begin to look higher.”
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. — 1 Corinthians 12:12 (ESV)
