Dear Family and Friends,

It is with Mother Teresa’s words in mind that Louise and I have signed up to go to Guatemala this coming July with her worship team from church. We hope to be a small piece of a greater work that the Lord is doing there.

We will be going to Guatemala July 13-20 with a group from Perimeter Church working with Medical Missions Ministries. While there, we will lead worship at various venues during the week, but the main focus of our trip is medical in nature. Our team will set up medical clinics in remote villages where the local people can come for care.  We will help in the pharmacy and with the kids who are waiting for their parents to be seen.   We will have the opportunity to share the gospel with patients who are waiting for care at the clinics (using a translator!).

Stewart and I have both found great spiritual growth and challenge in going on mission trips and have waited for the day when our girls can experience this. We look forward to Louise’s eyes being opened and her heart being pricked for what God is doing among the nations as a result of this trip… and I can say the same for myself! The Lord is working in Guatemala, and we eagerly await what He has for us there.

Specifically from Louise: I have been wanting to go on a mission trip for so long, and I finally get the opportunity. Thank you for considering being a part of supporting me on my first mission trip.  Hopefully it will be the first of many in my life.
