Welcome to Perimeter
We are pleased that you have chosen to visit our web site and we hope you will come and visit us in person as well. As you explore our site you'll notice that we have a lot to offer the families and individuals in our community, including things for children of all ages as well as adults, no matter what their age or stage of life (single, married, divorced, widowed, whatever). Perimeter is a truly a come as you are church. It's a safe place to explore the truths of Christianity and it's a great place to experience growth and community.
Our services feature a blend of traditional hymns with contemporary praise songs, and will often feature drama, personal testimonies, and dance - providing a dynamic and impacting time of worship. We were all created to worship and at Perimeter Church our desire is to help you worship well.

Mentoring Children & Youth
Perimeter is partnering with other UNITE! Churches in order to reach the shared goal that every Atlanta child would graduate from high school. We are working with an organization called Kids Hope USA to help us development one-on-one relationships between churches and schools and life-on-life relationships between mentors and students which will enable us to reach this goal more quickly and effectively.
Our public schools are the hubs of our communities. If we want to positively influence and bless our communities, it starts with our schools. The needs are great and the opportunities to serve are abundant. The public schools want our help!
Meet with one child one hour per week during the school year.
We believe that Kids Hope USA is the most effective and impactful mentoring program for churches to engage and invest in one-on-one relationships with students in our neighborhoods. Kids Hope USA’s vision, strategy, training, resources, and track record speak for themselves.
Perimeter’s leadership has been trained by Kids Hope USA, and in turn, provides volunteer mentors with excellent training, encouragement, ongoing support, and resources.
Simply put, the best way to describe a mentor is “being a friend and cheerleader.”
The primary reason that you should be involved in the life of an elementary school student is because the investment of love, encouragement, and care that you can give to a child may very well be the difference between failure and success!

Please email Mary Lou to let us know you are interested for one of these trainings.
Chattahoochee Elementary School is Perimeter’s newest Kids Hope partnership, located off Albion Farm Road in Duluth. Principal Jeff Lee is excited about our start this fall and looks forward to a long, impactful relationship with Perimeter’s members. If you have questions or are interested in serving at Chattahoochee, please contact Eva Orazi who will be serving as our Kids Hope director there - email@example.com.
Berkeley Lake Elementary will begin its fourth year of Kids Hope mentoring in the fall. The program completed this year with 17 mentors, but there continues to be a waiting list of students needing a relationship with another loving, caring adult. The staff at Berkeley Lake are great to work alongside and have been so appreciative of the positive impact made on the lives of their students. If you have questions or are interested in serving at Berkeley Lake ES, you can email Mary Lou Heaner at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Creek View was added to the Kids Hope program sponsored by Perimeter Church starting in the 2015-2016 school year. It is located on Webb Bridge Road across from the Windward residential community in Alpharetta. All of the school staff from the principal, Debbie Doss, down to the teachers have been quite pleased with the positive impact it has had on the students who were mentored. During the school year, 13 Perimeter members mentored their individual students from first through fifth grades for one hour each week at the school. We are expecting to expand the program in the next school year and are open to talking with additional members who would like to mentor. For more information, please contact Gary Schubert (email@example.com), Perimeter member who is the Director for Creek View.
Medlock Bridge elementary, designated as a Blue Ribbon School in 2014, has been in partnership with Perimeter through Kids Hope for three years. Members Carla Sullivan and Martha Griffin, mentors themselves, oversee this partnership. Medlock Bridge is in close proximity to Perimeter Church and many members live in the Medlock Bridge Subdivision. Last year was their third year with 17 mentors. More mentors are needed for our Medlock Bridge partnership. You may email Carla at firstname.lastname@example.org or Martha at Martha.email@example.com for more information.
Peachtree Elementary School, our very first Kids Hope USA partnership, will begin its sixth year of mentoring in the fall. Over the years we have been able to host a number of events as well as facilitate the attendance of over 40 children at Camp All-American for one week each summer! School staff members have been very supportive of this ministry and say they would love to have a mentor for every child! Therefore, we need many more mentors to spend an hour each week cheering a student on to do well in school and demonstrating the love of Christ. If you would like to join the Peachtree Elementary team and work one-to-one with a child, please send Debbie Parrish, Volunteer Director, an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
