Perimeter Church is expanding its global gospel ministry into a new country, marking an important milestone in its mission to serve communities around the world. Through a newly approved grant from Perimeter’s Kingdom Investments, our church is working with Water at Work Ministry to bring clean, safe drinking water, and the hope of the gospel, to the Dominican Republic.
Water at Work is dedicated to serving underserved communities in the Dominican Republic by equipping local churches to operate sustainable water purification systems. These systems not only meet the essential need for clean water but also create opportunities for long-term community transformation.
The grant, approved in March, will support the expansion of an existing water filtration and purification plant in Jaquimeyes. With this investment, the facility’s production capacity will triple to more than 100,000 gallons per month—significantly increasing access to safe drinking water for families in the region.
Operating in unison with the local church, this initiative not only addresses a vital health need but also provides a sustainable source of revenue for the church. In the Dominican Republic, where churches commonly play an active role in addressing social challenges, this model empowers them to serve both the physical and spiritual needs of their communities.
Simon Cole, Director of Operations for Global Outreach, said, “This grant allows us to come alongside the local church to meet the essential physical need for clean water in their communities, while advancing their mission to share the life-changing hope of the gospel.”
This project marks Perimeter Church’s first ministry effort in the Dominican Republic, establishing it as an emerging country of focus in its growing global outreach strategy.
